We've come to another month of Ipsy Glam Bag review. I'm so sorry this took so long to be reviewed but I'm definitely struggling trying to get film it, blog it and thinking about university at the same time. Without further ado, we're going straight to it. This month's theme is Jetsetter!
Alterna Haircare's Caviar CC Cream
This product boast a 10-in-1 benefit to the hair. While I can't say for sure if it really does benefit in 10 ways, my personal experience with this hair cream corrector was splendid. Compared to hair oils, this acts like a hair conditioner, leaving no oil residue to your palm or your hair but only a sweet scent on the hair and it detangles hair almost immediately. My hair remained soft and manageable throughout the whole day.
All you need to do is apply it on your hair like how you would with hair oils.
While this sample size is only 0.85 oz, the original product is a 2.5 oz tube at the price of $25.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil + Revolution High Color Lipgloss
This glide on lip pencil works like how a lip liner does. Glide it on all over your lip to ensure long lasting colours when you apply lip gloss or lip stick. As you can see, I have used quite a few times but it uses up quite a lot of the product in one application itself. It runs out extremely fast. This sample size is only 0.8g. The glide on lip pencil comes in several shades of colour but this clear shade (Ozone) is perfect if you don't own lip liners or too fussy to buy it in other shades.
There is also a tendency to apply more than needed since you don't actually feel it on your lips or any colour until you smack your lips together. Then, you'll notice that it has a glue like texture which I suppose that's what help colours to last longer on the lips.
Also as a bonus, Ipsy + Urban Decay provided us with this High Colour Lip Gloss which I got quite excited about because I've always wanted to try bold lip colours like purple. I tried it and I instantly fell in love with that colour.
However, as you can see, the opacity is rather light since it is a lip gloss. I would say the texture is an in between of a lip gloss and a lip stick. You can build up the colours by layering a couple of times and let it dry to fully stay on your lips. Definitely not as intense of a colour you'd expect, judging from the picture of the packaging. Nope.
And this is the shade of Failbait which I'm not that fond of because it's really similar to my lip colour. It does make my lips a little more pink but that's about it, nothing drastic or fancy.
Overall, the lipgloss dries along with the glide on lip pencil to a sticky texture as a lipgloss normally would but it does not dry out my lips throughout the day.
The lipgloss cost $22 a bottle whereas the lip pencil cost $20 at 12g.

Bellapierre's Waterproof Gel Eye Liner
This gel liner is as it says; waterproof. Unlike most liners that say they are waterproof but turns out not, this liner wouldn't even budge a little when I tried rubbing it off. Even when I tried using a cleanser to wash it off, only some of it were removed. The colour is an intense black (in the shade of Ebony) with matte texture. Glides on really smoothly without much effort.
One downside though is that with a pencil liner like this, I find it quite difficult to obtain a nice winged-out line on my eye especially when the tip of the pencil gets blunt as you use it. Sometimes, when you put too much pressure, it breaks off at the end as well. So, be cautious.
This was a full-sized product at 0.06 fl oz at the price of $14.99

Peter Lamas' Detoxifying Citrus C Facial Cleanser
The facial cleanser helps lock-in moisture and strengthens the skin whilst leaving softer & younger-looking skin. Upon trying it, the cleanser comes out an orange thin liquid which lathers up only a little. It does not leave much residue like a cream cleanser would but not too drying that it becomes a squeaky feeling. It does wash off light make up but not heavy makeup nor waterproof makeups.
Overall, just a decent mild facial cleanser & have received many good reviews from people with sensitive skin or suffering from acne problems. There isn't a heavy scent that most cleanser have which makes me feel good that there isn't a ton of unnecessary fragrance or chemicals added into it.
This product cost $24 at full size.

Pixi by Petra's Beauty Bronzer
After receiving this brand of product from previous Ipsy bag, I have a very good impression and expectation from Pixi by Petra. A good brand of makeup at an affordable price. Since bronzer is one of my staple everyday makeup, I was delighted to have received this in my Ipsy bag!
I received this in the shade of Summertime, a deep tan bronze. It has a copper undertone on my skin which is alright for my skintone. However, a slight mistake would turn out to be a disaster.
This bronzer however, has a slight glitter to it. So little that it can be overlooked but I definitely prefer my bronzers to be matte. I am still very happy that I received this bronzer.
The original product is priced only at £18.00 and it comes with a kabuki brush!
